Paint Correction

Swirls, scratches, and oxidation permanently removed. The paint that was always there, revealed.

Every car on the road has scratches in the paint. Most of them did not come from accidents. They come from automatic car washes with dirty brushes, improper hand washing technique, wiping a dusty car with a dry cloth, and years of small contacts that leave marks in the clear coat. Under direct sunlight or a bright light source, these appear as a web of swirls and haze that kills the depth and gloss of even a good paint colour.

Paint correction is the process of removing those defects by machine polishing. A dual-action or rotary polisher, loaded with the correct compound and foam or microfiber pad, cuts away a microscopic layer of clear coat. This removes the scratches from the surface layer and reveals the fresh, undamaged clear coat underneath. The result is paint that looks genuinely deep and clean rather than hazy.

Before we touch your paint, we measure the clear coat depth with a paint gauge. This reading tells us how much clear coat remains and how aggressive the correction can safely be. Skipping this step is how you accidentally cut through the clear coat, which causes permanent damage. We measure every car before any machine polishing begins.

Depending on what the paint shows, the job may be a single-stage enhancement polish for lighter defects, or a two-stage process for heavier swirls and deeper marks. In both cases, we test on a small panel first to confirm the right combination of compound, pad, and machine speed before doing the full car. You will see the test result before we proceed.

Paint correction is also the only correct preparation before applying a ceramic coating. Applying ceramic over defective paint seals those defects permanently under a layer that is extremely difficult to remove later. If your paint has swirls and you want a coating, correction comes first. We will always be upfront about this rather than coating over a problem.

How It Works

01

Paint Gauge Measurement

Clear coat depth measured across all panels with a calibrated gauge before any work begins.

02

Wash and Full Decontamination

Vehicle fully washed, iron-fallout treated, and clay barred. The surface must be perfectly clean before polishing.

03

Test Panel

A small section is polished first to confirm the right compound and pad combination for this specific paint.

04

Machine Polishing

Correction carried out panel by panel under strong lighting, working in stages to remove defects without over-reducing paint depth.

05

Final Light Inspection

Finished paint checked under strong lighting from multiple angles. Only handed over when the result is right.
