Paint protection film is a thick, transparent polyurethane film applied directly over your paint to physically absorb impacts from stone chips, road debris, and minor abrasion before they reach the clear coat. Unlike ceramic coating, which protects against chemical and environmental damage, PPF is built to take physical impact.
Modern PPF is self-healing. Light swirl marks and scratches in the film soften and disappear with heat, from sun exposure or warm water, keeping the surface looking clear over time rather than accumulating film-level damage the way older films did.
Installation is precise, panel-specific work. Film is cut to match your vehicle using patterned templates, then applied and heat-formed around curves, edges, and body lines so it sits invisibly once installed. Poor installation is immediately visible as lifting edges or trapped bubbles, which is why fitting quality matters as much as the film itself.
The most common application is the front end: bumper, bonnet leading edge, mirror caps, and headlights, since these areas take the most impact from road debris at speed. Full-front and full-vehicle coverage are also available depending on how much protection you want and your budget.
PPF only protects against damage that hasn't happened yet, it can't undo a chip that's already there. The best time to apply it is before the first stone hits, not after, which is why it's worth doing early on a car you plan to keep, especially a new one. Every installation is backed by a 10-year film manufacturer's warranty against yellowing and cracking, plus our own 1-year guarantee on the installation itself.
PPF and ceramic coating work well together. Many clients apply PPF to impact-prone areas and ceramic coating across the rest of the vehicle for a complete protection package. We can advise on the right combination for how you actually use your car.
How It Works
Coverage Consultation
We discuss which areas to protect based on how the vehicle is driven and your budget.
Panel Preparation
Surface fully decontaminated and prepared so the film bonds correctly with no trapped debris.
Film Application
Film cut to pattern-matched templates, applied, and heat-formed around curves and edges.
Final Inspection
Edges and bonding checked across every panel before the vehicle is handed back.
