Auto detailing is a complete professional treatment of every surface on your vehicle, inside and out. A car wash removes surface dirt with water and soap. Detailing goes much further, addressing paint decontamination, paint correction, interior deep cleaning, leather conditioning, glass treatment, and surface protection. The results last significantly longer and go much deeper.
For most drivers, a full detail once or twice a year is a good baseline. If you drive in heavy traffic, park outside, or have children or pets in the car, more frequent interior cleans make sense. Vehicles with ceramic coating need less frequent full details but benefit from a maintenance wash every few weeks.
A standard full detail typically takes 4 to 6 hours. Paint correction jobs take longer depending on the severity of defects, usually a full day. Ceramic coating application, when combined with the required paint correction beforehand, can take one to two full days. We will always give you a realistic time estimate before the job starts.
Paint correction is the process of using a machine polisher with abrasive compounds to remove defects from the clear coat of your paint. Swirl marks, fine scratches, water spot etching, and oxidation are permanently removed, revealing the clear, deep paint underneath. It is not a filler or a cover-up. The defects are physically removed.
Paint correction removes defects that are in the clear coat. If a scratch goes through the clear coat into the base coat or primer, it cannot be corrected by polishing and will need a paint repair. We inspect every car before starting and tell you clearly which scratches can be corrected and which cannot.
Yes. Any defects, swirls, or scratches present in the paint before ceramic coating is applied will be permanently sealed underneath the coating. They become much harder to remove afterward because you have to cut through the ceramic layer first. We always inspect the paint and include the correct level of correction in our coating packages.
Depending on the product grade, a professional ceramic coating lasts anywhere from two to five or more years. The longevity depends on the quality of the product applied, how well the paint was prepared beforehand, and how the vehicle is maintained after coating. We will advise on the right product for your situation.
Wax is a natural or synthetic product that sits on top of the paint and lasts a few weeks to a few months before washing away. It provides a basic shine and some water repellency. Ceramic coating bonds chemically to the clear coat at a molecular level and becomes a semi-permanent protective layer. It lasts years, provides far stronger protection, and produces a noticeably deeper gloss.
During the first week after coating, avoid washing the car or getting it wet. After that, a regular two-bucket hand wash is ideal. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes as they will scratch the coating over time. We give full maintenance instructions with every coating job so you know exactly what to do.
A deep interior clean covers every surface inside the cabin. Seats, carpets, door panels, dashboard, center console, headliner, air vents, cup holders, storage pockets, and all gaps and crevices. Stains are treated with appropriate products, leather is conditioned, glass is cleaned inside, and odors are treated at the source rather than masked.
Cigarette smell in a car is embedded in the fabric, headliner, and often in the ventilation system. A deep interior clean with proper odor treatment addresses it at the source rather than masking it. Results depend on how long the car has been smoked in and how deeply the smell has penetrated. We will give you an honest assessment before starting.
Yes. Pet hair is one of the more time-consuming parts of an interior clean because it embeds itself into fabric fibers. We use specialized tools to extract it along with the full vacuum and cleaning process. The result is a properly clean interior, not just a surface clean.
Headlight lenses are made from polycarbonate plastic that oxidizes and turns yellow over time due to UV exposure. Yellowed headlights look bad and genuinely reduce how much light your headlights produce. Restoration involves sanding back the oxidized layer, machine polishing the lens clear, and applying a UV sealant to protect it. It is typically needed on vehicles that are four or more years old.
